Steven and his journey.......
On September 20th 2022 Steven got the devastating diagnosis of ALS. Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. He was started on one of the two medications that could slow down the disease by 3 to 6 months. ALS is terminal and there is no cure at this time. He was referred to the ALS clinic where he will see a PT, OT, RT, speech therapist, social worker, psychologist, nurse, neurologist and the ALS association rep.
Steven believes he has had ALS for at least 1 to 2 years before the diagnosis, which is very common.
A wheelchair van is desperately need, in which this fundraiser will assist with that purchase!!
