Welcome to the RanSacked Rescue Fund - a page dedicated to supporting RanSacked Board Game Lounge in Worthing, West Sussex.
RanSacked is facing a difficult winter. Following our recent Facebook post and a short article in the Worthing Herald, many of you have reached out to ask how you can support us, so here we are. Today we are humbly asking you to "Pay not to Play." Asking for money is never easy, but if each member of our community donated their £5 cover charge, we could meet all our expenses for a month.
So why do we need your help? We opened RanSacked on February 15th 2020. We closed our doors again just 28 days later... Over the last ten months, we have been able to keep our amazing team employed, the lights on and our bills paid, but the second lockdown period has put us in a very different position. This funding drive will help us to get through the next couple of months, and (government permitting) keep our doors open to you, our wonderful community.
RanSacked was created as a space for people to come together and connect over some games. Covid-19 has almost halved our seating capacity, limited the events we can offer and restricted the groups who can get together and play. As a result, our only chance of survival has been to limit our costs by keeping our doors closed. But that is not what we want, and everything we have heard from you tells us that isn't what you want either.
So we really need your help. If you would have visited RanSacked this year - why not donate us your £5 cover charge? Any money we receive through this gofundme campaign will go towards paying our running costs (rent, staffing, those wonderful start up debts...) meaning that we can get our doors open and provide you with a warm welcome, some wonderful coffee, and a game or two. Any money we make above and beyond our goal will continue to fund our costs as we navigate our new reality and implement some exciting new offerings.
We believe there is a future for RanSacked, and we want to keep on sharing our passion for tabletop gaming with you, the RanSacked community. We cannot wait to welcome you back through our doors. We just need your help to get them open!
