Raelynn is a very special 13 year old. She has a rare genetic mutation called MYLK which causes countless ongoing issues. She has had 7 strokes in her young life, which has lead to so many more issues. Without help, she may not be with us much longer.

Every breath Raelynn takes is a victory, but it is a victory that comes with a staggering price tag. Raelynn is currently fighting a battle where her survival is directly tied to complex, high-cost medical treatments.

For her, this isn’t about "getting better"—it is about staying with us. Her body relies on specialized medical equipment, elite clinical interventions, and pharmaceuticals that carry an astronomical cost. The reality is as blunt as it is heartbreaking: Raelynn needs this expensive medical treatment to stay alive. Without a continuous and guaranteed flow of funding, the life-sustaining systems she depends on would vanish. A lapse in these resources isn't just a financial hurdle; it is a life-ending risk.

As we fought for Raelynn’s survival, we realized we weren't alone. Our community is home to many Special Needs and Medically Fragile families walking the same razor’s edge. They face the same sleepless nights and the same terrifying reality: that their child’s life depends on treatments they simply cannot afford.
