Hi, my name is Toni Nicholls and I am a good friend of the Quinn family from Peachland BC. Parents Shawna and Matt, Super Sister Lucy and Cancer Warrior Violet.
in 2021 both Violet and my daughter Rylie were diagnosed with Stage 4 High Risk Neuroblastoma. They were a couple months apart in a very similar treatment protocol at B.C. Children’s hospital.
They became fast friends at Ronald McDonald House and in the hospital rooms and hallways of the Oncology floor at the hospital.
Violet finished treatment near the end of 2022 and was declared cancer free. This is an incredible feat! She continued to have positive scans through 2023 and most of 2024 when small little spots started to show up in her scans.
Bring us to summer of 2025 where the family learned that the cancer has once again reared its ugly head, and the Neuroblastoma is back in multiple areas of Violet’s body.
Starting the first week of August 2025 she will be getting port surgery, and starting back on chemotherapy and immunotherapy to try to tackle this beast.
Relapsed Neuroblastoma is a very difficult cancer to battle. This family has a long hard road ahead and they shouldn’t have to be worried about finances and keeping their family close together during this difficult time.
Any donations will be so greatly appreciated to make Violet’s and her family’s journey more comfortable.
thank you.
