On the 2nd of December, West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service Wholetime Recruits are undertaking a 96,000-meter row in full fire kit in honour of our late Queen Elizabeth II, 1000m for every year of her life. Her Majesty was the patron of the Firefighters Charity for over 60 years. The Fire Fighters Charity offers specialist, lifelong support for members of the UK fire services community and their families, empowering individuals to live happier and healthier lives.

We are also raising money for Tommy's Charity, a pregnancy charity working to make the UK the safest place in the world to give birth, supported by people who refuse to accept that a baby's death is just 'one of those things.' Every parent has the right to a healthy pregnancy and baby.

Any money raised will be split between the two charities, and any support you can give, especially in these challenging times, is hugely appreciated. Wish us luck!
