Hi! I'm Cesar, and I’m reaching out to ask for your support as I take part in a once-in-a-lifetime global event that brings together puppetry and climate action.

After a rigorous selection and interview process, I’ve been chosen to join The Herds at London event (The Herds) —a spectacular, world-traveling public artwork produced by The Walk Productions featuring the puppets of elephants, giraffes, antelope and lions, made from the upscaled/recyclable likes of cardboard and plywood. It's a dramatically eye-opening way to put focus on climate change — the concept being that these animals are fleeing climate disaster. Says The Herds' artists director, Amir Nizar Zuabi, "Through the beauty and ferocity of these life-size creatures, we aim to spark dialogue, provoke thought, encourage engagement and inspire real change."

This project has stirred something deep within me. I was a dedicated puppeteer from the age of 5 through my early 20s. Life led me to other paths, but the love for puppetry never left me. Being selected for The Herds feels like a return to my roots—a chance to blend my early passion with a global cause that matters.

I’m fundraising to cover just two essential expenses: my airfare and accommodation. Everything else is supported by the organizers. With your help, I can join this 20,000 km artistic journey and use the magic of puppetry to raise awareness and inspire change.

¡Hola! Soy César y recurro a ustedes para pedir su apoyo en una experiencia única en la vida: un evento global que une el arte de los títeres con la acción frente al cambio climático.

Tras un riguroso proceso de selección y entrevistas, fui elegido para formar parte de The Herds, en Londres (The Herds) —una espectacular obra de arte pública itinerante, producida por The Walk Productions, que presenta títeres de elefantes, jirafas, antílopes y leones, elaborados con materiales reciclables como cartón y madera contrachapada. Es una forma poderosa y visualmente impactante de poner el foco en el cambio climático: la idea central es que estos animales huyen de una catástrofe climática. Como lo expresa el director artístico de The Herds, Amir Nizar Zuabi: “A través de la belleza y ferocidad de estas criaturas a tamaño real, queremos provocar diálogo, reflexión, participación e inspirar un cambio real.”

Este proyecto ha despertado algo muy profundo en mí. Fui titiritero desde los 5 años hasta principios de mis 20s. La vida me llevó por otros caminos, pero el amor por los títeres nunca ha desaparecido. Ser seleccionado para The Herds es como volver a mis raíces—una oportunidad de unir esa pasión temprana con una causa global que realmente importa.

Estoy recaudando fondos para cubrir solo dos gastos esenciales: el pasaje aéreo y el alojamiento. Todo lo demás está cubierto por los organizadores. Con tu ayuda, podré unirme a este viaje artístico de 20,000 km y usar la magia del teatro de títeres para generar conciencia e inspirar al cambio.
