The Public Funeral Fund

We are The Public Funeral Fund we are trying to raise as much money as we can to support families when it comes to upfront funeral costs. There are personal reasons behind our cause and why we wish to raise money and help prevent any family going through the ordeal we went through when we lost our mum. All monies received will go to Barton & Hallworth Funeral Services in Oswaldtwistle so they can continue they're amazing job but with less pressure to provide the money themselves. As a small family run business they try to help people out as much as they can and when we reached out to them when we had no where else to turn they saved our Mum from being sent to have a pauper's funeral and in return saved us as her children. We struggled so much to raise the funds for the funeral to go ahead the first funeral home refused for us to see our Mum or set a date or make any other preparations and demanded the money within two days or they would ring social services and our Mum would of had a pauper's funeral. Pleading for them to not do this and explaining we'd tried all we could think of already we was getting no where. I rang another funeral home explained the situation they gave me the number for Paul & Sarah and that's when they stepped up to help us in every which way. This in return is why we wish to help them and so many other families that have to suffer than shouldn't have to at what's already a really difficult time. This is a cause that is very close to our heart and one we have set up in memory on our of our beloved mother Margaret Doreen Greig (maiden name Ellis) 21.08.64 - 14.02.18

We wouldn't wish upon anyone the struggle we went through and this is what we wish to prevent by holding fundraisers/ charity events and raising as much money as we can.
