"The Propaganda Machine" Christian Rock Screenplay

We are a little Christian rock band named Shining Shards. Our album is not written for the church and fellow Christians, but to the individuals who have been pushed away by the church itself. This follows more closely with where God actually wants our efforts concentrated. (Luke 15:1-6; Matt. 9:12)

Whether it's the hurt inside from being ignored or neglected your right to be loved, or the cruelty of a residential school, or the endless torture of regret from war, or the neglect of family who are supposed to see you and care about you, all of these things leave many, **many questions.

Say, I'm coming from one of those places, and somehow, I find myself walking into a church, and hear a bunch of songs claiming, "how good *God is!" I will be left in the dark, because there's no one to meet me where I'm at, or taking the time of their day to understand where I've been, like, "I'm having a REAL** HARD TIME understanding how your God could *POSSIBLY BE loving!! Could be good! Please help me understand?"

This album is a journey to finally find that peace in trauma, how dark the darkness gets, and that there is in fact the Light that will end it, once and for all, in spite of what **peoples'** actions may have taught you.

We have the whole runway paved for us to take off. A door to Marcel Rouger's studio (Randy Bachman's engineer and stage manager), an expert cinematographer, lit demos, a growing cast of actors, and a whole script to be played out on-screen for all our listeners and viewers, and a 'rock'-solid plan.

Countless hikes must be hiked... with our music equipment... and cameras... up whole mountains, and all the shoot locations we are needing to take on at the present moment are ripe for the taking!

We need your help to change the world through effective music ministry. We have to raise at minimum, $1100 in order to get to all the filmshoot locations.

We need to raise another $200 at MINIMUM to even get to our Okanagan shoot locations.

1. It's around $700 to get to the Okanagan and back.

2. If we get clearance from National Defence to board a battleship, add around $200 for getting to the coast (Vancouver) and back, where we must then spend another two $124—$156 BC Ferry rides to get to Vanvouver Island and back, where we will do our potential filmshoot on an HMCS vessel.

3. Around $70 probably, driving from ferry dock to CFB Esquimalt and back.

4. Enough to feed 4 people for a week of hiking up mountains with drumkits on their backs, lol. Keep in mind, we're not all individually flat-broke, so we will do our absolute best to use our own funds to help each other out in this regard.

5. City driving costs (my guess, between $50–$160 max.) We probably will cover that individually, likewise with the food scenario.

(6.) If we raise more than this amount, and get clearance from @mrtaneda about Rouger's availability, a currently unknown amount will be spent for the studio hours to record one song: "In A Blink."

Our ministry will help residential school survivors know God still see them, that they are not forgotten, to soldiers with post-deployment PTSD, wondering where God was in witnessing the worst of this world's evil, and those pushed away by cruelty from other believers who failed Christ' call to love our neighbors. We are selling albums at $15/CD and directing people to our GoFundMe link/picture with the QR code over this whole week, but we need your help as well, Shard army. This is the critical time we need this help because we only have until Aug 26 to raise at least another $300 so we can get home from the coast. We have reached $1200 in fundraising, and it would be ideal to have at least $1450 in order to get to our mainland locations and back. At least $1750 total to pull off the full operation while solely boarding at our host's place in the Okanagan. We need help. If you are willing to help, we need all the help we can get. To finish this project as strong as we possibly can, determined by our production sources as they come available, funds will be used additionally for hiring a special effects artist, a colouring artist, a higher-end film-crew with better gear, high-end video-editing software/plugins, studio hours, more travel costs (filmshooting and recording destinations), historically-accurate/legitimate costumes and props, and surplus can be split between band members, used to help others, or put towards later projects.
