Silverstone is known worldwide for its legendary racing circuit, but what about the village and the people who call it home? That’s the story we want to tell.

We are Sam(Producer) and Connor(Director), final-year BA (Hons) Television & Radio Production students at the University of Salford.

For our Final Major Project module, we are producing a documentary exploring how track days impact the local economy and community.

Silverstone Village exists in the shadow of the track. While motorsport brings excitement and tourism, it also affects businesses, residents, and daily life in ways that often go unnoticed. Through in-depth interviews with local business owners, residents, and key community figures, our documentary will shed light on the benefits and challenges of living next to one of the world’s most famous racing circuits.
