Help Kim produce her first narrative short film.

Donation protected
Hi, I'm Kimberly Summer, a Melbourne-based BIPOC filmmaker. I've worked for over a decade in the film industry, and I'm finally taking the leap into writing and directing my first narrative short film!

It's super exciting, but because it's completely self-funded, getting this project over the line means asking for a little help from my friends (and future friends!).

So what's the film about? In short, a voodoo meat pie. The short film is shot in the style of classic Australian low-budget films (think early Mad Max or Tarantino's 'Death Proof) with Annabella Dickson as the comedic lead. The short will be filled with comedy, social commentary and a little blood and guts (okay, maybe more than a little).

What's the point of supporting this project? This film will hopefully be a leaping point for my career - to show to future collaborators and agencies what I can do. It's also a female-lead project, a social commentary on the cost-of-living crisis and a homage to Ozpoloitation films.

Please consider donating whatever you can, I know times have become harder these days - so any amount would be greatly appreciated.

What will the cash go towards? Camera equipment, paying talent, special effects (the blood and guts of course!) and paying crew.
