The Price-Rosa Family needs your help

I am sure if you’re reading this you know who I am. It has taken me an hour to write this because I rarely ever ask for help. I think that is the stubbornness of a single mom and of course the pride factor.

About two years ago when Covid hit, my son developed severe OCD and I could go into the clinical aspect of that but it is debilitating his life. He also has other working diagnoses as well, We are putting our faith in our psych providers to stabilize him. Currently he is in an inpatient child psychiatric hospital and he is stable at the moment. It has been very hard for me being a single mom and trying to be strong for him. Unfortunately because of this my job has let me go leaving me scrambling to make ends meet and to actually live life. in all honesty I could lose everything because I am putting him first. I don’t have another income coming into my household so this is where I am at.

To say that I am in survival mode is an understatement. I really honestly was not going to ask for help but I am struggling financially more than I ever have in my entire life. I do have some per diem work but it is nothing compared to what I was able to provide before.

Because I am needed at the hospital every single day it is very hard for me to find work that is flexible and understanding to his mental health and me being the sole caregiver to him. I don’t know what tomorrow will bring to be honest with you we are on a day-to-day basis and that doesn’t help mom (me) pay the bills. I know I will get haters saying why don’t you move back in with your parents but to be honest Jayce needs to come home to his house because of his illness and I am praying to God that I can do that for him.

I honestly don’t expect much from anyone. Everyone is going through their own struggles and if anything if this does not gain any traction for fundraising, I am glad to share my story with my friends, my old coworkers and my family about how serious mental health is right now.
