Life has not always gone smoothly for Andrew and Haley. They met and fell in love from Michigan to South Carolina. It was love at first message. Despite the physical distance, they made it work and were married and live in Michigan together.
As they settled into their lives, it became clear that Haley would not easily become pregnant. Both Haley and Andrew are very family oriented, and while it saddened them that a baby may not happen without medical intervention, their lives were happy. They have 3 old-but-lively rescue dogs that keep them in cuddles and kisses, and planned to adopt a child in the future.
Then, one day fate intervened. Haley discovered she was pregnant! They had just bought their first house, so 2022 was shaping up to be the best one yet! Baby P was on the way! Haley's due date was March 4th. They busied themselves, getting ready for their first Christmas in the new house. Haley was doing well throughout the pregnancy, labs were all coming back normal, but Baby P was also a bit small.
Then the worst happened. During a routine ultrasound on December 7th, there was some questions about the umbilical cord blood flow, so she was sent to labor and delivery at Mercy Hospital. Haley's BP was alarmingly high when she arrived, and after several doses of different medications they were able to lower it. She was transferred via ambulance to Spectrum/Butterworth. She was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia.
Baby P will most certainly come months early, and Haley will be on bed rest in the hospital until delivery. This will mean several weeks without Haley's income. Unfortunately, Haley's job does not cover maternity leave or short term disability. Needless to say, Haley and Andrew are anxious about the baby and also the loss of income. Andrew is physically disabled and unable to bring in any more money than he already does.
They say it takes a village to raise a baby. Won't you be part of Baby P's village and help by contributing? No amount is to small. Times are hard for us all, especially around the holidays. Anything would be greatly appreciated. If you can't give yourself, please share the Price's plight on your FB page.
Thank you for taking the time to read through the Price's story, and for helping.
(For a sizable contribution, I'll tell you what they are having, and the baby's name!)
If you would like to donate directly to the Price family, Cashapp, Venmo, and Facebook Messenger are also available.
