The Pretzel Twist: A Journey to Recovery
Donation protected
Life has thrown a little twist at Pretzel, but he’s not broken—just a bit out of shape. At just 18 months old, he’s full of life, energy, and zoomies, but now he’s facing a Cranial Cruciate Ligament (CCL) tear (the dog version of an ACL injury).
For a pup who loves to run, jump, and wrestle with his siblings, there’s really only one option: surgery. It’s the best shot at getting him back to doing what he loves.
The hardest part won’t just be the surgery—it’ll be the 8-12 weeks of strict rest afterward. No running, no jumping, no roughhousing with Peanut or his brothers and sisters. Keeping him calm when all he wants to do is play will be the biggest challenge of all!
With seven rescue dogs in our family, we know the responsibilities and unexpected challenges that come with it. This is our burden to carry, and we take that on without hesitation. But if our friends, family, and community want to chip in to help Pretzel get back on his paws, we’d be incredibly grateful.
We’re setting up a GoFundMe for anyone who’d like to contribute to his surgery and recovery. Whether you donate or just send some good vibes his way, we appreciate all the support.
Thank you for being part of our journey—Pretzel will be back to full-speed zoomies in no time!
