On Oct 4th, a group of teenagers from Mill Valley are taking on the legendary Dipsea Trail — a steep, beautiful, and grueling run from Mill Valley to Stinson Beach — to support rural education in Northern Uganda. And we are asking for your sponsorship!
We’re calling it the Power of Ten. Why?
• All funds raised go to Delta Education Collective (https://www.deltacollective.org/). Their cost effective program can support a student’s education in rural Uganda for just ten dollars a year.
• Each of us is pledging to raise at least $100, enough to support ten students for a full year.
• Collectively, with your support, the impact will scale (like a power function).
Why Delta Education?
Delta works hand-in-hand with local communities in Northern Uganda to strengthen schools from within, building long-term systems that make education accessible and empowering for all. $10 may feel small here, but it can change the course of a child’s future there.
How your gift is handled
Donations on this page go to Philanthropic Ventures Foundation (PVF), a US 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 94-3136771), US-based fiscal sponsor of Delta, and all funds are designated for Delta Education Collective.
If you are a US taxpayer your donation is tax-deductible, and you will receive a tax-receipt from PayPal Giving Fund for your donation. If you are not a US taxpayer, you will still receive the same receipt, but you would need to check with your own jurisdiction about eligibility for deductions.
Join us!
Sponsor a runner! Cheer us on from afar! And know that your contribution — whether $10, $100, or more — provides vital funds to support the academic and life goals of students in Uganda.
Together, we’ll make the Power of Ten a reality.
