The power of paying it forward

Hi, My name is Bj, previously a coworker of Sandee Sims. This elf, Sandee Sims, needs a little relief. R A,(rheumatoid arthritis), has taken the sprite out of her spirit. As a rental salon owner she developed a salon that’s goal was not only to be successful but to inspire others to give back to our community, hence the name Inspirations.Monthly meetings were held to brainstorm our next event to benefit our community. We had a great team that was on board but she definitely took the reins in the details to meet the goals of making every event a success. I’m not going to name every event, as it would be a long list, but here are a few of my favorites, Christmas for Homeless Teens, Days of haircuts ( no charge) for students going back to school, Caroling for Salvation Army wading thru ice cold slush , with a group of spirited Carolers and a boom box, the Packer fans were definitely generous, a drive for mittens and scarves, our clients really came thru on this one, too many school supplies to mention, and an endless amount of free haircuts, and so much more. All with a group of 6 and an owner that was driven to give back. She chose to close the salon to focus on needs within her family and take in her sweet Mom who has Alzheimer’s. Sadly, she wakes one day and cannot walk without severe pain, diagnosis RA. While the meds allow her some relief, it is a day with hours of pain and tears, but yet she tries to keep going. I’ve known her a long time and know she’s a tough one. She may not climb to the top of a shelf again but with a lift I think we can help her mentally. For one person to give so much I believe it’s her turn to receive some blessings to take some financial worries away until she can figure out the challenges ahead. I thank you.
