Donation protected
Please join me from the United States along with family friends from around the world including Austria, Australia, Ireland, Canada, Belgium, Egypt, Norway, Switzerland, Czechia, The Emirates, Great Britain, Saudi Arabia, The Netherlands, and New Zeland to raise much-needed funds for the Greatest Grandpa, Hussein Aburedah. If you have been blessed with a wonderful father or grandfather in your life whom you look up to, you know what a positive impact they can have on your life, your family, or your community. The Greatest Grandpa was born December 15, 1962 to parents who had been forcibly removed from their own family homes in 1948. Despite harsh childhood conditions, he grew up to be a man of honor and is deeply respected by everyone. He met his beautiful wife and raised a family which now includes 21 grandchildren, “The Rascals,” who absolutely adore him. He has always helped everyone but now he needs our help. Funds raised will help the Greatest Grandpa receive proper medical attention for his disease to include medical evacuation travel, medical supplies, proper treatment, proper nutrition and a solar panel to help provide electricity for medical equipment and other essential necessities Money raised will also help purchase food and critical supplies for the grandchildren. It is an honor to know him and a greater honor to be able to help. Even donating the cost of a cup of coffee can make a difference. Each bit of support helps tremendously including sharing this with others, prayers and sending well-wishes. With gratitude, Melissa.
A MESSAGE FROM HIS SON AND OUR DEAR FRIEND, SAJID: Hello, I am Sajid from Gaza. I am 20 years old and I would like to tell you about my father. My father has hereditary kidney disease and lives on only one kidney and with dialysis. He had major surgery to remove the ureter and bladder and lives with an implanted intestinal replacement for them. He utilized a urinary catheter before he suffered from kidney failure. The operation has caused many complications including acidity in the blood, high blood pressure, diabetes, and others. For all of these reasons, my father asks you to pray for him and help him as much as possible. My family, my father and I were besieged in Nasser Hospital back in February 2024, and we have not been able to evacuate medically until now. Last year, we tried and others tried to help us to evacuate from Gaza to receive the necessary treatment, but the conditions would not allow us to leave. Both my father and I are approved with the appropriate paperwork and identification travel documents for medical evacuation since August of 2024.
My father is in his sixties and loves life. Thank God, the war is ending. During the war, we were displaced from our home and living in tents which exposed my father to significant medical neglect and intense pain and suffering as he suffered from complete kidney failure in the tents. This caused him a lot of fatigue and health and psychological problems. He now does kidney dialysis three times a week. Treatment, medicine and transportation to and from the hospital can cost $500 per week.
All of this happened to my dear father during the period of the fierce war, when everything (food, water, shelter, medical care) was impossible, especially for the sick. You may have followed this on social media and through journalists. The doctors here very strongly and urgently advocated for him to evacuate to an advanced medical center but this is difficult due to lack of resources and money. Please donate whatever you can so we can travel to a specialized center for kidney disease. Please understand we need you and we need your generous donations that will change our situation for the better. May God bless you and reward you.
