The Postman Film (Final Project)

Hello,

My name is Josh, I am the producer for this short pilot/film. As part of my group in our final year of university and we are looking to fundraise for our final project. The Postman is a short drama/comedy that will be a 15 minute pilot to a longer series. The money raised will go directly to paying actors, set design, costumes and travel.

As a team we have decided that if the project ends up being under budget we will be donating any left over funds to a charity. Anyone who donates will be credited on the film as a donator that helped bring this project this to life.

Here is a short description of the project:

Act one

we see Colin’s story as he is raised by a single mother and develops a passion for the Royal Mail after he learns of his absent father’s position as a postman. Years later after becoming a postman himself he’s fired, after a hopeless job hunt, he goes to his former boss’ home only to be implicated in a murder.

Act two

Colin returns to the Post Office do find more information on why he was let go, only to find he’s being followed by a shady G-Man, with help from trusted colleague, Sarah, he finds the location of the mysterious figure behind his dismissal.

Act three

Colin charges in the building and after a fight scene with the G-Man they are called into Pat Barrie’s secret Lair. We find out that the mysterious man pulling the strings of the Royal Mail is Colins long lost father who abandoned his family as his role requires complete anonymity, but the old man needs a successor.

Colin is then faced with a choice, to leave the Royal Mail and live a normal life or to live in solitude and have the entire postal system at his disposal. Colin chooses to live a normal life, but before he leaves Pat reinstates him as a regular postman.
