Legal Fund for Portsmouth Social Justice Leaders

On August 18, 2020, to the surprise of City Administration and the community-at-large, Portsmouth City Police Chief Angela Greene decided to issue felony warrants against social justice leaders James Patrick Boyd, NAACP President Portsmouth Branch, Louie Gibbs NAACP VP Portsmouth branch, Kesha Hicks, NAACP VP Portsmouth branch Lakeesha Klu Atkinson School Board Member, Community Activists Kim Wimbish, Amira Bethea, Dana Worthington, and other social justice leaders charging most of them with two felony conspiracy charges. It is unfortunate that in our current climate, we are still witnessing blatant abuses of power that continue to promote an agenda of oppression. As a result these fighters for justice are in need of competent legal defense.
