Just over 3 years ago, an Olympian pole vaulter for the USA came up to me at the USA Summit and said thankyou for what I do for American pole vaulting. After asking if he was kidding, he came back with, "when are you going to write a book" ? Along with the encouragement of another American Olympian, I began to write. Now, after three years of writing, editing, drawing, organizing, designing, the book is nearly ready for printing. Over 240 pages of "everything pole vault" from instruction to pole vault history, filled with photos, sequences, drawings and diagrams to enrich any vaulter, former vaulter or coaches. With over 45 years in vaulting, this is a dream of mine, coming into focus.
