The Poetry Room Workshop & Show

Hi, Gigi Bella hit me up, and she said she was going to be around. At first, I was like, yooooo, let's get food, then I was like yo yo yo wait, let's do an event!

Gigi Bella is an award-winning performance poet, artist and social justice advocate. She was ranked 10th in the world at the 2017 Women of the World Poetry Slam. She is a two-time Bronx poetry champion with Project X, a member of the first Project X Bronx Slam team to represent the 2018 National Poetry Slam, the 2017 Vox Pop Champion and a 2017 Fem Slam Finalist.

The money asked is to pay upfront for the feature, workshop, and venue for two days and possibly add a couple of local poets to the feature. This will help The Poetry Room discount tickets to $10 /general audience. $50 VIP (limited to 10) tickets, which includes a workshop with Gigi and early entrance. Any profit for this event will become seed money for The Poetry Room non-profit organization.
