(waiting at the door to leave the hospital on friday!)

(my mom juliette visiting at the hospital. me as a conehead).

hi. i'm juliette, and this is my darling cat and the love of my life, pipsqueak.

in mid july, my happy little cat suddenly seemed unwell, and started losing weight rapidly. after weeks of inconclusive diagnostic tests at his vet, we finally found out this past week at the emergency vet, that he has developed lymphoma in one of his kidneys. he wasn't feeling well over labor day weekend, so i took him in in the middle of the night. renal lymphoma is a very aggressive and fast moving cancer. they say without treatment he might only have 4-6 weeks to live, and that the only way to kick this thing is aggressive IV chemotherapy.

despite the staggering cost of his few nights at the emergency hospital this past week that a dear friend fronted me the money for ($7,500) . . . the chemo will cost another $12-14,000 for 6 months of weekly (and eventually bi-weekly) treatments. then, hopefully remission. i am completely dedicated to giving pipsqueak the chance at living more years, and perhaps living out his full life span. cats respond to chemo much better than humans, so he is not suffering, though he'd rather feel like he used to! his first treatment was this past wednesday, and he responded very well! i have to raise more money for his next treatment this coming wednesday or thursday. in the meantime, we're doing feedings and medications every few hours through an esophageal feeding tube. we're getting pretty good at it, and he's already starting to eat on his own.

pipsqueak is the sweetest, most personable little guy, and i know we can beat this thing with a little help from our friends. 100% of the funds raised will go for his treatment. thank you in advance for considering donating even the smallest amount, pipsqueak appreciates it!

i'll be updating here regularly. we're both sending you much love.
