For over twenty years Phoenix has been a registered charity currently registered in Bergerac, dedicated to improving the lives of animals in need. Our mission is to rescue, protect and care for any animal facing distress or risk, including abandoned, abused or unwanted dogs, cats and sometimes equines

We support these animals by assisting with adoptions, offering guidance and providing essential veterinary services like sterilisations and vaccinations. Volunteer foster carers ensure they are loved and safe until they find their forever homes.

· Fundraising is at the heart of our work.

The Book Team raises vital funds by selling donated second-hand books in English, French and Dutch, plus vinyl records, DVDs, CDs and bric-a-brac. Our home base is Bergerac, our new depot is in Prigonrieux, where community spirit and animal welfare thrive in both.

Our dedicated team has worked in challenging venues, from barns with dirt floors to an ambulance depot with no heating. Despite increasing difficulties, we persevere to support animal welfare.

· Phoenix Book Corner - Our new venue.

We are renovating a large commerciale garage in Prigonrieux to serve as our permanent hub for sorting and selling. Volunteers are working hard to create a welcoming space, complete with a lovely café and outdoor area for visitors to relax and enjoy the refreshments as well as parking for over 80 cars.

With your help we aim to raise €7,500 to assist with rénovations

We hope to display everything on permanent shelves made from locally sourced wood, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere that encourages relaxation and connection.

Every € you donate supports Phoenix Association and Animal Rescue, ensuring each purchase or donation helps write a new chapter of hope and kindness for animals in need.
