I was staying in The Philippines for one and a half years starting from 2016, making research about culture, music and art. I have visited museums, many radio stations and press offices as an artist and participated in programs and talk shows. I was also taking part in charity events such as feeding programs for children and worked with Christian charity organizations.
I fell in love with the Country, its cultural heritage and people.
This experience inspired me to write, compose and produce a unique product, that I called «The Philippines» album and unofficial anthem. This is a full length music album, with the main song titled «The Philippines», that I wrote in English/Tagalog language. The main song will be presented in different variations/genres such as in piano version, guitar acoustic version etc.
I also made a research and found out that in European Nordic countries there are more than 50 000 Filipino residents, in Sweden alone - more than 13 000, as well as almost 4 million in USA, more than 2 million in Saudi Arabia and UAE and so on.
By bringing «The Philippines» project to life, we all are already doing something, we are making a change!
Recently We’ve recorded a National Choir of almost 50 people for the main song, as well as some orchestra. I flew to Kazakhstan to record songs for this album, worked with Swedish, Estonian, Russian and of course Filipino professionals to bring this project to life.
Aden Ray is a Grammy Recording Academy and European Authors' Society recognized singer, songwriter, music producer, influencer, Member of PETA, Grammy’s 365, STIM, MusiCares, PPL UK and EAU from Northern Europe. Having lived in The Philippines for an extended period Aden has grown to love the culture of The Philippines performing on radio and television shows and participating in numerous social programs during his time in the country. Being socially active, responsible and a creative person, and having the experience of volunteering for NGOs for feeding programs and music culture development, he decided to do an impact for the culture of The Philippines by recording a music album «The Philippines».
Now, Aden has been working tirelessly to create a new album dedicated to the Filipino people and their culture promoting encouragement, pride, health and holding a strong spirit.
The album contained within this project is called “The Philippines”.
The album:
The project, as a whole, entitled “The Philippines Anthem And Album” and the album itself, entitled «The Philippines» feature eleven original songs, including “The Philippines” (in English and Tagalog) as the main single done in several versions (orchestral version, pop version, r&b version, acoustic guitar version etc.). Other songs are about “Home,” “Love,” “Unity,” “Diversity,” and “Equality.” All the music on the album will celebrate the diversity of people who, together, make the Philippines what it is.
The album will consist of 22 tracks, of which 11 will be original works and 11 other tracks will be instrumental versions for karaoke.
The Philippines album will be released and distributed in CD format as well as in digital format on all worldwide music platforms.
As a part of a charity initiative, 22 tracks are planned to be released on YouTube platform, hence they will be available to the public for free. Some of the tracks will have music videos made for them, others - lyric videos and others - video / audio versions.
Music provides a great platform to promote the message. Aden says: “The way music is able to deeply influence an audience can easily catalogue it as a powerful tool in today’s world. Music irradiates divinity, giving it a perceived connection with God. I am blessed to play a role in the Philippine’s music platform and to have the opportunity of sharing this important message through the divine channel of music.”
Many songs of the album motivate, uplift and promote positive thinking in people. “The Philippines Anthem And Album” and further marketing events will be used to attract people’s attention towards the big impact that united community effort can have in the lives of each and every one.
The backbone of the project consists of television and radio talk shows through which the story surrounding the creation of the album will be shared, while highlighting the link between hygiene, health, diversity and social equality and unity as part of the project's promotional and educational activities.
Concrete activities will be developed based on appropriate alternatives and may include public events, interviews, participation in talk-shows, mass-media campaigns, participation in educational programs, social marketing campaigns, etc.
An important component of the project will be communicating with national stakeholders (mass media, state officials, entertainment, etc.), connecting with NGOs and working with communities. Social programs and community-led organizations in the Philippines will be supported through donations from the profit made from the sales of the album.
In other words the project itself is aimed to be a self-sustaining program that, with the funds and resources obtained through different fund-raising and promotional activities, through the profit generated by the sale of the album, and through the support of different organizations, will allow itself to continue developing even past the estimate implementation period, allowing the project to reach even more communities in need for help and information regarding health, personal hygiene and at the same time allowing supporters to get into contact with the Filipino community and with other supporting companies and organizations.
