The Persian Garden is closing

After 20 years in Phoenix at our midtown locations, and 30 years of service in Phoenix, the Persian Garden Cafe is closing its doors this week. Our landlord has decided to raise our rent, despite us not being able to open even at 50% capacity.
At this point, our situation is untenable and unfortunately we're being forced into this decision, even after months of negotiations and trying to meet with our landlords halfway. Now, we have to make up for months of rent owed since the beginning of the pandemic, which is just over $6,500.
For all of you, our customers, you have been so amazing and generous, and from the bottom of our hearts: thank you. You've purchased our food and our cookbooks to help make up for the deficit this past month, but we still owe about $5,000 before we're forced to vacate on Jan. 31. And even if we make that goal, we still will walk away empty-handed, but at least no longer being in debt to the landlords.
So, it's come to the point where we have to ask for help from our community during these tough times. Every little bit helps, understanding that there are hundreds if not thousands of families who are exactly like us in this scenario. From $5-$15, your generosity won't go unnoticed.
For those who donate $30 or more, we'll be sure and send you one of our cookbooks in the mail, filled with recipes from the restaurant, which was rated best vegetarian food years in a row by Phoenix Magazine, USA Today, New Times, Arizona Republic and others.
