THE PENGUIN PELOTON - WINDSOR TO GUY'S HOSPITAL via WALES - MAY 2026
The Penguin Peloton will cycle over 500 km from Windsor to Guys Hospital Tower via Gloucester, the Cotswolds, Pontypool Tower in South Wales, the Old Severn Bridge, Iron Acton, The Vale of Pewsey, Andover, Royal Berkshire and Surrey, from May 1st to 4th 2026, to raise £50,000 for the registered charity Penguins Against Cancer (PAC). PAC exists to: Raise Cancer Awareness and make financial grants to support Cancer Research, Cancer Treatment and Hospices. PAC provides funding for: the Fergus Scholefield Cancer Research Fund set up in honour of a brave young boy who sadly died before his third birthday, for the Chris Howell Urological Cancer Research Fund, the Ruth Prosser Women's Cancer Research Fund, the Simon Bunting Colorectal Cancer Fund and the Simon Lau Memorial Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund. PAC has no administrative or running costs, all expenses being met by individual PAC Members. All money PAC receives goes directly to support the fight against cancer. Windsor to Guys (W2G) will see a number of young, fit, strong, enthusiastic students and junior health professionals participating, including: Aarash Jayazeri, Noah Beetge, Shakira Doherty, Catarina Beckey, Kai Chilvers, Arun Thakar, Tom Emery, Theo Roberts and Will Taylor. They will be accompanied by older, slowly declining Penguins with a combined age in excess of 1500 years (Lutz Hostert, Trevor Kelly, Julian Valentine, Nigel White, Alan Mistlin, Andrew Lawrence, Paul Chase, Simon Catnach, Ben Challacombe, John Costello, Nick Gibbins, Graham Bevan, Jez Worth, Dave Quick, Guy Mclellean, Wayne LLewellyn, Guy Barwell, Darren Jones, Pete Davis, Rich Davis, Matt Miller, Stephen Addy, Rob Lancs, Matt Rose, Jamie Barwell and Charlie Beardmore) . All will cycle over 500 km, and will be supported by the outstanding Black Rat safety team of Sasha and Tony Smith, plus White Rats Paul Gillam, who will film the event, and Fran Kelly.
