Pat Shanahan Rides for Cancer Trials Ireland

After years away from race-riding, Pat Shanahan is making his long-awaited return to the Curragh - but this time, it’s about far more than just a race.

Now, Pat is gearing up to ride in the Pat Smullen Charity Race in aid of Cancer Trials Ireland on August 30th, supporting groundbreaking research that offers hope and better treatments to those battling cancer.

He is riding in the memory of his beloved mother and other family members whom he has lost to cancer and also of his friend and weighing-room colleague, the late Pat Smullen — a champion whose courage in the face of cancer and his unwavering commitment to helping others continue to inspire everyone who knew him.

Pat is ready. The Curragh is calling. And now he’s asking for your support.
