The passing of Josh
Hello, my name is Eddie Hughes and I am Josh's brother. This is hard for me to write because I still can't believe this has happened. I am collecting donations to help my mom cover the costs related to my brother's passing.
Josh's death is shocking and unexpected. Josh lived with a mental disability that I can only assume became too much for him to live with. He was a shell of the person he once was. On August 11, he told my mom he was leaving to go on a walk, but he never returned. On the morning of August 15, my mom discovered Josh's body in the wooded area behind her house. Josh died due to a self-inflicted gunshot.
My mom is wonderful. She has done so much for both myself and my brother. She would put my brother's needs in front of her own. My mom is retired. She is also a breast cancer survivor. In June, she had open-heart surgery and is currently experiencing some complications related to the surgery. I fear all this additional stress may be too much for her which is why I am asking for help.
As you can imagine, my mom and I were not at all prepared for the financial burden that comes along with a passing of a loved one. That is why I am reaching out to you all in hopes that you’ll show your support. Any amount you can contribute we will be so grateful for. If you are unable to contribute, I understand, my only ask is that you keep my family in your prayers.
Thank you so much for even considering donating and for taking the time to read my story.
Best Regards,
Eddie
