The Papandrea Family
Donation protected
The Papandrea family needs our help as Jim, their amazing husband and father, battles a rare and aggressive form of colon cancer that has metastasized throughout his abdomen.
This wonderful family would never ask for help on their own so a group of Jenn's friends are hoping we can help support Jenn, Sophia, and Jimmy as Jim focuses on the fight of his life.
Just a few months ago, Jim went to the ER for chest pain but was quickly diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma-colon cancer metastatic to the liver. He lept into action fighting with chemo treatments that have left him in a lot of pain and unable to work at the Dept of Corrections where he has dedicated his career to public service. He also had to close his auto repair business. Jenn, his loving wife of 15 years, is a reading and special education teacher in Vernon where she has taught countless children while raising two kind and caring children - Sophia and Jimmy. Jenn continues her dedication to teaching middle school students, while also being the caregiver to her husband and the sole financial provider since Jim has depleted all of his sick days during this intense cancer fight.
Through each trip to Sloan Kettering for scans, bloodwork, treatments and procedures, Jim and his family have remained strong and determined to beat this aggressive cancer even in the face of a rare mutation, multiple failed chemo protocols, pain, weakness, and side effects from the cancer and chemo, and it having additionally metastasized to the liver and other parts of his abdomen. With Jim unable to work, the family needs our help so they can focus on being Jim's support system. Jim is determined to beat this, despite the odds, because he loves his wife and children so much. They are an amazing family so let's show them our support now when they need it more than ever. Any donation you can give will go toward helping this beautiful family as they fight cancer.
