2023- Three Years of Transformation: A Pup Relief Tour Journey

Our Mission and Progress
“Three years ago, we embarked on an inspiring mission with Pup Relief Tour INC: to bring accessible pet grooming services to underprivileged communities across America. Today, we celebrate grooming over 1,800 pets, absolutely free of charge, thanks to our network of over 100 dedicated volunteer groomers. Our workshops have educated countless pet owners in 16 states, sowing seeds of knowledge and empowerment. Our reach even extended internationally, with successful training sessions in Lagos, Nigeria. This journey has been about more than grooming—it’s about nurturing connections, spreading joy, and creating a world where every pet is loved and cared for.”

Addressing the Core Problem
“In many cities, the stark reality is that pet grooming is a luxury beyond reach for low-income families. This gap not only affects the pets but also the morale of the community. We at Pup Relief Tour INC (501c) are determined to bridge this divide. By offering no-cost and low-cost grooming, combined with educational initiatives, we’re tackling this challenge head-on. Our approach is comprehensive: we’re not just grooming pets; we’re educating owners, empowering aspiring groomers, and building community resilience.”

Our Unique Solution and Competitive Edge
“Our solution has been unique and effective. We’re not just another pet grooming service; we’re a movement. We are launching a pilot grooming schools within prisons, our efforts to support black-owned businesses, and our mission to make pet care accessible and cool again set us apart. We’ve established grooming schools, created networks of skilled groomers, and fostered a community of support and sharing. This holistic approach has given us a significant edge over alternatives.

The Future We Envision
“Looking ahead, our dreams are ambitious but achievable. We plan to groom 10,000 pets annually by 2030, expanding our tours to new cities, including rural areas, Native American reservations, and urban neighborhoods. Our vision is of a nation where every pet, regardless of its owner’s financial situation, receives the care and love they deserve. We’re committed to making pet grooming accessible and inclusive, and with your support, we can turn this vision into reality.”

Your Role in this Mission
“Your support has been the cornerstone of our success. Whether it’s through donations, sharing our story, or engaging with us on social media, you are a vital part of this journey. With every dollar, every share, and every word of encouragement, you’re helping us to spread love and care to pets and their families across the nation. Join us as we continue to make a difference, one pet at a time.”

The Pup Relief Tour 2021
The PRT 2020 was a huge success! With your donations and support we were able to visit 8 locations and service 820 dogs. For the summer tour, we started in NYC then traveled to DC, Wilmington, NC, Atlanta, Dallas, and Los Angeles. We were then able to help out in Lafayette, LA after their disastrous 2020 hurricane season. Lastly, we helped a Brooklyn shop get back on its feet after their store was robbed and vandalized earlier this year.

We have big plans for the PRT! This year alone we plan to do another summer tour with stops in 5 different US cities and a winter holiday tour. Our goal this year is to groom 1000 plus dogs. However, our 5 year goal is to visit all 50 states and groom 8-10k pups. We also have plans to take the PRT internationally. We want to continue creating a platform that promotes diversity in the pet industry. We also want to continue to educate pet parents on the importance of maintaining a healthy, well groomed dog.

To that end, we have increased our GoFundMe goal in order to continue raising money to meet our objectives for this year.

The Backstory
The pet industry is a multi-billion dollar industry, yet Black Owned Pet Businesses are not equally represented or supported. However, due to the recent events overwhelming this nation, my company, Harlem Doggie Day Spa has received an outpouring of love and donations from clients and people all over the country wanting to support a black-owned business. With these donations I decided to create a Pandemic Pup Relief Fund, offering free grooming services to pet parents who have been fiscally impacted during this time. So far we received $2,000 and have been able to help many NYC pups!

The Dream
For the past 5 years I’ve had one particular dream, to road trip across the USA using my mobile grooming van and offering grooming services to those in need. I believe that right now is the perfect time to follow this dream! By expanding the Pandemic Pup Relief Fund, my goal is to embark on a 6-city Pandemic Pup Relief Tour, helping pups across the nation.

The Overview
The Pandemic Pup Relief Tour will partner with a local Black Pet Grooming Salon, local Pet Groomers and local shelters in each city to build a team. Our team will service pups from the community whose parents have been impacted by the pandemic. Additionally, we will service pups from the shelters thereby increasing their chances of being adopted.

How you can help
I created this tour for my love of dogs and the joy they bring to their humans. Our pups are a source of happiness, loyalty, companionship, protection and love. They are our family and we have to treat them as such. During these difficult times, they can sense our despair. I’m hoping that this tour will offer a bit of happiness to pups and their parents experiencing hardships all over our country. I also hope that this tour will help connect Americans of all backgrounds through their love of pups.

Your monetary donation to this tour will be beyond appreciated. If you cannot support monetarily, sharing this GoFundMe link with your networks is always a great way to support. Lastly connecting and interacting with us on our social media pages would bring us much joy!

I and my team, and the puppies across America thank you wholeheartedly for your support, consideration and dedication to this cause. .
