If you were ever blessed enough to meet Polo Orta, you were welcomed by his warm smile. On August 27th, Polo was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer. He was admitted in the hospital and spent most of his time in the Intensive Care Unit. He underwent numerous medical procedures including many surgeries and utilized life-saving measures such as CRRT dialysis. After a courageous battle with cancer, even with insurance, the family is left with enormous expenses that come with extended hospital care, treatment, surgeries, and funeral expenses. Polo was a very caring, compassionate and generous man who had a giant heart. He made friends with anyone who crossed his path.
