The Orphan Horses of Paynes Crossing Winter 2025
Donation protected
Hello all you lovely people, Baz and Zoro here... we're the two remaining old boys from the rescued Orphan Horses of Paynes Crossing herd of seven.
We live with our lovely carers on a 34 acre property near Broke in the Hunter Valley NSW. Our carers do their best to look after us well, with some help from their lovely house sitter when they go away, and give us our best possible remaining life (we are in our mid 20's so getting a bit long in the tooth!). Our carers are retired and not young and both have a few health issues which can be challenging for them at times.
We understand that everyone out there in human world is doing it tough but we could really use your help to keep us fed and healthy through winter. Our feed bill is nearly $200 per month (with excellent prices from the local produce store) and that doesn't include any hay which we may need through the winter. We also need to be wormed and have the farrier give us a pedicure every three months so this adds approximately $200 every 3 months on top of the feed.
So all you lovely horsey friends out there, if you could please spare a few $$'s to help us we would greatly appreciate it.
Love from Baz and Zoro
