The Organization of African Students at UVA: Africa Day 2025
Donation protected
Hello Family & Friends,
It’s that time of year again! Africa Day, a beloved spring tradition of the Organization of African Students, has been celebrating African heritage for over 10 years—bringing together food, music, fashion, and powerful performances. But this event is more than just a celebration—it’s a movement. Africa Day works to break cultural, ethnic, and racial barriers while challenging misconceptions about the continent.
This year, we’re taking Africa Day to new heights. From breathtaking fashion and historic cultural dances to spoken word performances that share the voices of our students, this event highlights the richness and diversity of African culture. In 2024, we welcomed over 400 attendees, and with your support, we can reach an even larger audience this year!
We’re bringing together 30 aspiring models and countless passionate students to showcase the depth and beauty of African culture. But we need your help! Your donation will go toward expanding the event, supporting student artists, and ensuring this celebration continues to enrich our community and inspire others to explore their heritage.
Join us in making Africa Day bigger and better than ever. Every contribution helps bring this vision to life.
Please include the last name of the model you are supporting in your donation.
Thank you for your support!
