Hello, my name is Eli Buie, and I am a film student at DePaul University. I am working with producer Ryan Dombrowski to bring to life what I hope to be my greatest film yet, ' The Ones Who Watch.' The Ones Who Watch' is a sci-fi thriller centered around Allen, an isolated young man struggling with depression, who discovers that the world has been replaced with parasitic aliens. The story has a deep personal connection to me, as it helped me to express my inner struggles with mental health in a unique and thoughtful way. This film has been a passion project of mine for the past three years, and now I finally have a crew talented enough and equipment capable of capturing my vision. The only thing that remains is getting it financed: The film's length and scale pose a challenge to a team of student filmmakers, as we can't generate the funds needed out-of-pocket to secure locations, permits, post-production work, costumes, props, transportation, necessary compensation, and food.
