The Ones Who Came Home

My name is Ryan Galvez. When I was 18, I survived one of America’s deadliest mass shootings.

This one event in 2018 at the Borderline Bar & Grill shook our community to its core. Immediately following the shooting, every major media outlet ran stories about the events of the shooting. But as quickly as the headlines came, they just as quickly disappeared leaving many survivors alone to process what happened.

This documentary film will follow myself and two friends as we navigate life after this profound tragedy. Through interviews and visual meditations, we’ll share intimate details of what happened that night and how each of us has processed this experience.
