With a heavy heart I am here to ask for help for my brother Joseph Heindel. Vacationing with my father in Cancun Mexico he was swimming in the ocean and a huge wave came at Joe knocking him over. When he was able to get out of the water dad believed he had the wind knocked out of him. After laying on the beach for 15 minutes Dad realized it was something more. He ran to get an ambulance and he was quickly rushed to a surgical hospital. Joes collarbone is broke and a CT scan revealed an additional 5-7 fractured vertebrae in his neck. He is having surgery at 4pm Mexico time today. So far he can feel his hands and feet and there is not paralysis. The surgery is risky of course fusing his neck back together. The surgery we are told is guesstimated at 25k. There is also the concern of lodging and food as he will not be able to fly back immediately. Joe does not have health insurance. The Mexican government will not let him leave the country until the medical bills are paid.
If you know my family you know we are people that always help even when we have little ourselves. If you know Joe he has likely helped you fix a car, helped you moved, fixed odd and ends in your home be it an electrical issues or putting up a fence. Maybe he’s climbed on your roof for repairs or tiled for you. The list is never ending.
Joe needs your prayers the most but financial help is pertinent also. If you can’t donate please share!
We are humble people and it is difficult for us to ask for help. We have no other choice at this time.
Thank you in advance for everything.
