I’m not a regular at The Old Mill Café. But on a visit, I talked to both owners and staff and could see how much heart and hard work goes into this place. I’m tired of watching small businesses struggle, and I want to do something to help. This café is over a year old. While the community often sees the joy of big days like Applefest, what most don’t see are the financial challenges they’ve been quietly carrying. I believe this town can come together to support them, so they can keep serving the food and warmth that make places like this matter.
The cafe’s fire suppression system is outdated, and until it’s replaced, they aren’t able to fry. Meaning no Apple Fritters or many of their beloved menu items. This cafe isn’t just a place to eat, it’s a gathering spot that feels like home. This money raised will go directly to this cafe installing a new suppression system so the cafe can safely bring back apple fritters and other favourite treats.
Every little bit helps keep this local gem thriving and other small businesses go. Thank you for supporting The Old Mill are and helping these ladies bring their vision to life.
