Rhodey and I are determined to save our dear friends Ikeda and xMichiyo from Ohio.
With permission from them we can share that Michi's local family have been extremely abusive and neglectant of boundaries that had been placed for years now. This has caused a huge toll on Michi's mental and emotional state.
Ike has been suffering from migraines most of his life and we believe he would greatly benefit from the medical options here as UW hospital is one of the world leading medical centers.
He also has many more opportunities here with his career than he currently has in the town that they live in, where he's been stuck working on commission at a retail job.
They're currently located in Ohio, 440 miles away.
We have a perfect 3 bedroom house lined up, but due to conflicting issues we lack the funds to get them away from where they currently live over to us in the time frame we had originally set up. The house needs to be rented out sooner than planned (February 1st!!!!) and they still need time to find local jobs and get acclimated to the new area. Rhodey & I still owe rent at our current place as well, so these funds are mainly to support us through this transition! This fundraiser is also to help them afford the move and help us afford their half of rent until they are stable.
Any amount helps so much. We just want our friends to be happy and safe.
