On September 3rd, 2020, the young and tender life of Deon Kay, a young king in our community, was tragically taken by the Metropolitan Police Department. Our family, our community and our city is in shock, grief, and mourning. Deon loved his family, his friends, and playing video games. He only just recently celebrated his 18th birthday about 3 weeks before his untimely and tragic death.
Our family wants to honor and celebrate his life and give him the home going service that he deserves. We are looking for the support from our community to celebrate his life well. Services are currently planned for next Thursday morning September 24th at 11am at The Temple of Praise at 700 Southern Ave SE Washington DC 20032.
Peace Fellowship Church and PeaceWalksDC will ensure that every single cent allowed by GoFundMe will go toward blessing this family and covering their funeral expenses. May the peace and love of Christ be with each of you during this difficult time.
