Hi! My name is Josh Halley.
This year, I'm taking on one of my biggest adventures yet. I am one of a team of four that will be rowing the whole length of the Norwegian coastline this summer. During the course of the row, we will be stopping off in local communities, free diving for rubbish, and taking part in ocean clean ups. As we row we will be diving, fishing and living as sustainably as possible, to promote how we can live within the means of our seas and environments. Learning how we, and the rest of the world we live in - can benefit each other.
As you can imagine, an expedition like this is not cheap and we are very thankful to be so close to getting to the start line, but we are in need of a final few bits of crucial equipment to get us over the line.
We won't just be rowing to help clean up the oceans, we will also be raising money for a chosen charity. We will be working with the Air Ambulances UK - and as soon as our oars touch the water on the 10th of July, we will be raising money for this amazing charity that are saving lives every single day. The sooner we can get the expedition to the start line, the sooner we can start raising money, so every little helps. Once we begin, all further funds raised will go to our chosen charity.
One of the most important bits of equipment on our expedition will be our water maker. We will need this to turn saltwater into freshwater to keep us hydrated on the two hours on - two hours off rowing shifts. Not only this, but we also have a dedicated support crew following us down the coastline, and without this, the expedition would not be possible.
All money raised on this fundraiser will go to much needed equipment for us to use on our 6-8 week row, food, fuel, as well as some of the communities that will be helping us with the Ocean cleanups.
Any support for this incredible expedition, and once in a lifetime challenge - are greatly appreciated. We're looking forward to having as many people on board with this adventure as possible. Donations over £250 will have the chance of their name on the boat.
Thank you so much in advance, Josh and The Nordic Endeavour crew.
