On September 18th 2023, Aaron Noel had just gotten off work on Fort Liberty Army base (he is a pipefitter contractor on base). He was stopped at a red light at the intersection of All American and Zabitosky, a lady came down the hill behind him not paying attention at all and slammed into him going 40 MPH. By the grace of God something told Aaron to look up right before she hit him, he was able to put his car in first gear which helped him not get pushed completely into the intersection that had the green light. Aaron's boss was behind the lady and stated that her brake light's never came on.
Due to the accident Aaron has suffered Stenosis in three vertabres in his neck which he will need a surgery for, internal bruising, a contusion is his chest, his left knee has been reinjured and he will need a genicular knee ablation (burning the nerves), his ankle was sprained in multiple places, with the knee injury as well that has left him unable to walk and on crutches/in a wheel chair. He has been out of work unpaid since September 18th. Aaron is the sole provider for our family of 5 plus our mini zoo, we rescue any animal in need. I have been his full time caretaker since the accident as he can not be up for more then a couple minutes without getting dizzy and almost falling or getting an excruciating headache that ultimately puts him to sleep. We have a daughter Lacie that is 8 years old and twins Jaxx and Millie that are 5 years old. Aaron's Volkswagen Golf was totalled, they payed us $3,942.87 for it. We have used that to pay the remainder of our bills for September & October, gas to and from the multiple appointments a week and to survive.
We have exausted all sources we have, and as I'm sure no one does, we hate having to ask for help. But it's not about us, our children need a roof over their head and full bellies. As the holidays grow closer so does our anxiety and stress. There's enough to worry about with bills and living expenses as is but due to someone else's negligence my children may not have Christmas this year and that's heartbreaking to any parent. Life truly can change in a blink of an eye, so make sure you hold your family tight. This will be a long recovery for our family, any donations no matter how small will help more than you could ever imagine. All help will be used for our mortgage, electric, water bill, groceries, gas to and from appointments and necessities.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
-The Noel family
