The Nickerson Family

Monday, November 7th, the world lost a beautiful soul, husband, father, son, brother, uncle and dear friend. On behalf of the Nickerson Family, we are asking for his family, friends, and community to rally around them during this devastating time, lift them in prayer and help us wrap them in love and warmth by donating what you can.

James leaves behind two precious young boys, each uniquely embodies James differently. Jerry is outgoing, full of personality and loves to play games. Taighe is a gentle, kind spirit and very artistic. The family was still reeling from the death of James’s older son Dallas earlier this year. These boys have suffered much loss with their brother and Dad in less than a year.

Austin, his oldest son who lives in Utah and is his dad's spitting image, has pledged to instill the life lessons he has learned with his little brothers. He was James’s rock when Dallas passed away.

And finally, his beloved wife, Claire. Who for 16 years stood shoulder to shoulder with James in their many adventures together. She is destroyed. James’s death was completely unexpected.

The fund is to help Claire with expenses, as she had just returned to work two weeks before James’s death, and James was self-employed, making navigating these uncharted waters much more difficult. This situation is unbelievably tragic and surreal. We hope to allow them time to grieve and make this situation less of a financial burden.

James was full of love and life. James loved being a dad, and he adored his children. He was a hard worker. Owned and operated his own small business for the last two decades. Accomplished Singer/Song Writer who performed for years on lower Broadway here in Nashville. Taken much too soon.
