Nicholas Alexander Carson was born March 23, 1992 in Huntington, WV. Nick's survived by his son Jackson, parents Joe and Debi Morgan, a sister, and two brothers. He grew up with a love for baseball, hunting, and fishing. Nick's dad instilled in Nick the love and respect for the outdoors. He also loved baseball...from the time he was 5 years old you would find him on a ball field every chance he got. He was a dreamer therefore he always said he was going to play ball for the Atlanta Braves one day. Nick was on any and all softball teams that he could work in to his schedule.
His love of the outdoors is what Nick desired to pass on to his own son, Jackson. Jackson Alexander was only 4 years old when he lost his daddy...his best friend. Nick's love for his son was evident. As was Jackson's love for his daddy. Jackson was his daddy's sidekick and spent many evenings and weekends at the softball field, the woods, or in a duck blind. Nick was enjoying taking Jackson duck hunting...he would get him up early and bundle him up to go sit in a duck blind. Many afternoons when Nick was finished with work he would take Jackson to the woods riding...looking for the best hunting spot. Teaching Jackson to love the wood just like his dad did for him. During his time in Hawaii he took up spear fishing...just another sport that he grew to enjoy.

Florida State was his other love....he loved his Noles! Another dream was going as a walk on to Florida Stat to play baseball. He just wanted to play ball and be part of FSU.
Nick joined the Army in 2010 after graduating high school. After basic training and attending airborne school at Fort Benning, GA he was station in Fayetteville, NC at Fort Bragg. From there he deployed to Afghanistan in 2011. When he reenlisted he was stationed in Honolulu, HI. After 3 years there he came back to Fort Benning. At each of his duty stations Nick always made friends that remained a part of his life.
Nick was a friend that was the crazy friend.. crazy in a good and fun way... he would do the things others were afraid to do. Nick loved to laugh, have a good time, and was always taking on a new challenge. He was fearless. He had a smile that could charm you and a temper that could infuriate you. His determination to succeed and prove himself was what made you love him. Nick's favorite saying... "I got this" ....anytime his mom would get concerned or question him.... "I got this, Mom."
He loved FSU.... his family.... his friends... his Army family... his hunting... and most of all.... Jackson.
Nick was tragically taken from his son, family, and friends on April 29, 2018 at the age of 26. He had just received his Black hat and became a Jump Master. He died he pass his boards for a promotion to Staff Sergeant. Nick is missed sorely by his family and friends.
