Hey Friends!
Need some help here. Most of you know I’ve been working on launching an online leather goods biz, The New West Company, and reception has been great but with pouring a big portion of my personal savings into taking a chance with this and doing it on my own, I need some help if It’s going to go any further.
Before launching the biz, I’d set up a Kickstarter but with relocating and some other obstacles, about 2 weeks into the campaign I decided to shut it down with not being able to dedicate my full attention to it. The idea was to raise capital to well, kickstart the biz. Being able to contract web design, set up a proper workshop with the ability to accommodate a wide range of production and product development, purchase materials from packaging and branding and all else needed to design and build products in general.
I’d also hoped to draw some intrigue from a potential partner who would be interested in teaming up and taking this journey with me as a fun and creative outlet in sharing what New West offers while evolving into a collaborative idea for friends and the like-minded. I’m a collaborator and something like this is so much more fun and rewarding with great friends to share it with.
Things are rolling on a small scale and have had nothing but compliments. I haven’t really pushed it that much because the resources aren’t there yet other than to fill small, individual orders. I’ve had interest from potential large accounts but to lock those in, a marketing budget requires capital for sample production to get those into the hands of the potential clients.
Definitely sitting on the cusp at the moment and not one to solicit help for something personal like this but I’ve been a supporter of like causes and always want to support friends so, why not. You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.
I definitely don’t want donations but more contributions with rewards of NW product so based on the level of contribution, I’ll make sure that you guys get something of value to make it worth your while. I want to make sure you get something out of your support! That’s super important to me.
So all of you out there that have talked about how much you love the line/idea/ etc and want to buy product, now is the time I need the help so please give what you can, pass along to people you know who also want to support and know I’m beyond grateful and will make sure all of you understand that gratitude on a personal level. It all adds up, from both ends so everything is a huge help!
