Hello everyone! My sister and I are setting up a go fund me to help Aaron and Melissa. Many of you know and love the amazing Avrie, but for those who don’t, she has been a warrior since she received her heart transplant 13 years ago. She has been living her teenage life to its fullest until a few months ago when she started having a lot of pain. She was seeing a specialist in Atlanta this week when it was discovered that she has a type of lymphoma that can happen with transplant recipients. She started her fight against cancer today with testing and her first treatments. They will be spending the next two weeks in Atlanta and then at least the next six months traveling from Tallahassee to Atlanta, which is about 4.5 hours, for Avrie to receive her treatments and testing. This will require increased gas usage, food, and hotels, not to mention the beginning of the year insurance bills. We know they live far away from most of us and that everyone is looking a a way to help out and support them. We have seen the messages of support and prayers and we know they appreciated it so much. We would love to take some of the stress off of them so they can concentrate on Avrie and support her while she fights.
