The Neal family is in need of support from the community as they face difficult times. This fundraiser is to support the family during Diana’s battle with cancer and to assist during a housing crisis.

Diana’s Story

Diana was diagnosed with brain cancer in the Spring of 2023 where she underwent surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. The surgery to remove the cancer left her with facial paralysis which led to further procedures to assist with regaining function and to get her beautiful smile back.

The Neal family house was hit by the tornado that tore through Elkhorn on April 26, 2024. Due to insurance and the overall damage the community endured from that storm they have been living in temporary housing while waiting for their house to be repaired. The repairs have just recently begun, but the house still remains uninhabitable.

In October of 2024, the cancer had returned and Diana was diagnosed with Stage IV Metastatic Adenoid Carcinoma that had metastasized to her liver and lungs. She was then given 20 months. This timeline has been cut dramatically short as the cancer has rapidly progressed and her prognosis was changed to 6 months or less at the end of February 2025. The focus now is to find peace and comfort through a home hospice program at a temporary housing unit with her family.

This fundraiser is run by Donna Ronfeldt, Stu’s sister, and all donations will go directly to the Neal family.
