My name is Kayla McCarty, I hope this message finds you well. I am a Junior at Ramona High School and I am 17 years old. As some of you may have seen, I have performed at the Fox in the past with the RUSD Honors Musical program as well as participating in many community arts and theater projects. I am an advocate for the performing arts both on and off of my school campus. I am incredibly passionate about musical theater and have very recently been given the opportunity to attend an extremely competitive summer musical theater intensive program in St. Louis. This program is an invaluable opportunity for me to hone my skills, learn from industry professionals, and immerse myself in the world of performing arts.  This experience will provide me with the tools to propel myself into the professional world, and create a future for myself in the performing arts.  However, the cost of tuition and associated expenses is quite significant.
