Update 12/15/2021:
It is with great sadness as Norma and Erika have passed on to be with the Lord. Their funerals were a wonderful testament to their lives. Please continue to pray for the Mulcahey family as they have now lost 4 family members. They will still need a lot of monetary support on the costs of the medical bills and and funeral costs, if you feel lead please donate below.

Post from 10/13/2021:

The Mulcahey Family has been hit hard by COVID. Resulting in multiple family members testing positive, with two family members passing away, one on BiPAP, and one in critical condition in the ICU. These funds will help the family with medical expenses and funeral costs.

 

Erika; only 24 years old is now in critical condition with double lung pneumonia and ARDS due to COVID. Unfortunately, due to Erika's low oxygen levels she is now medically paralyzed and heavily sedated and has been on the ventilator since 10/8. After her ventilator settings reached 100% she needed to be transferred to a higher level of care hospital via helicopter. Upon landing she was placed on a different type of ventilator that created more pressure into the lungs to give her more oxygen. But as of this morning, Erika had to be placed on ECMO (a machine that pumps blood from her body to an artificial lung that will add oxygen to it while removing carbon dioxide). Infection is also trying to progress so she is also on antibiotics to help her body fight.

On top of fighting for her life, Erika was admitted to the hospital on the day she was supposed to be celebrating at her bridal shower. Erika's wedding day was scheduled to be next month on November 20th 2021.

Please pray for Erika's healing and strength through this time; the doctors and nurses on the next steps for healing for her; her family and fiancé as they battle praying and supporting Erika at this time.

 

Norma; mother and grandmother has been in the hospital as well due to pneumonia due to COVID. She is now currently on BiPAP to help with her oxygen levels.

All while battling this, she lost her husband last week due to respiratory failure from COVID.

Please pray for her strength, grief process, and healing, the doctors and nurses that care for her, and her family to continue to be her support.

 

Lastly, the Mulcahey family lost two family members from respiratory failure last week. One was Norma's husband; he was a father and a grandparent who had passed on 10/7. The other was Joe; who was a husband, a son-in-law, and uncle who had passed on 10/5. These funds will also go toward helping pay for their funerals and any transportation that they would need. Norma's husband still needs to be flown from FL to NC for the services.

Please pray for their family during the grieving process at this time.

 

The family does have other positive members but they are doing well despite the losses they had to endure. Please pray for healing for these family members as well and the strength for all of the Mulcahey family during their time of loss.
