My name is Nicholas Mertz, and I’ve lived in Chico, CA for the past 6 years. I’ve been dating Erik Muellers for 2 1/2 years. The entire time that Erik and I have dated he’s lived with his family in Paradise, CA to save money. Erik has worked at Save Mart in Paradise, CA for 5 years, and is also attending Chico State University where he graduates this December.
The reason I’m creating this gofundme for Patsy, Reinhard, Adam, & Erik Muellers is because of what the Camp Fire took from them. They have lost everything after living in their home on Primrose Lane in Paradise, CA for 18 years. Patsy, Adam, and Erik gathered pictures, their pets, and themselves before racing to Chico, CA to escape the fires, but otherwise, they’ve been left with nothing.
The Muellers are currently staying with me in my tiny apartment trying to figure out what their next step will be whilst also trying to wrap their heads around what happened.
This gofundme account is for the folks that have asked to help out, and don’t have an outlet to do so. Any little bit will help, as they are left with an empty lot of what used to be a house full of memories, traditions, and love. Your contributions will go towards food, medications, clothing, and basic family needs.
