Dear Muddy Brook Families:
The Thanksgiving holiday is rapidly approaching. It is a time of year where we celebrate and give thanks for those closest to us. We also know that Thanksgiving can be a challenge for many families and individuals, especially this year. There are many families in our community struggling with financial challenges and this is Muddy Brooks' way of supporting these families by making a Thanksgiving dinner possible.
This will be Muddy Brook’s 11th annual Thanksgiving for All. In recent years we have had a significant increase in the number of families in need of holiday assistance, and we project this year there will be more families than ever who need help to celebrate Thanksgiving. Muddy Brook has teamed up with Project Connection to help support families who could use a little help this Thanksgiving. In past years we have asked each classroom at Muddy Brook to fill a box with grocery items to make a Thanksgiving meal. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we will not be able to do that this year. Instead, the Muddy Brook PTA will be establishing a GoFundMe page where donations can be made. We will work with local grocery stores to purchase enough for a Thanksgiving meal for each family that signs up. The deadline for donations will be Monday, November 23rd using this link.
Through your collective kindness and generosity, we can achieve our goal: for all in our school community to have a wonderful Thanksgiving meal.
