The Movember Mile (s) Challenge — Running for Minds

Donation protected
This November, I’m taking on a simple but brutal challenge:
Run the number of miles that match the day of the month.
1 mile on November 1st.
2 miles on November 2nd.
3 miles on November 3rd.
… all the way to 30 miles on November 30th — 465 miles in total.

But this isn’t about me. It’s about giving back to the sport that’s given me everything.

Instead of donating to a single charity, I’ll be using every penny raised to support local running clubs, coaches, and young athletes — the people who keep the heartbeat of our sport alive. My goal is to help athletes before perhaps mental health declines, help athletes stay in sport, help athletes find running etc. I've been fortunate enough to work with some amazing therapists, but I also believe if it wasn't for running, or sport in general I'd have struggled more. It's a combination of work with mental health providers, but also having something like running to support yourself.

I will document every penny, and I want to SHOW you all, what impact you made. I want you to know which clubs got help, which young athletes got new shoes, which coaches got paid for a nights work instead of voluntary.

These are the communities where running changes lives, builds confidence, and helps people find purpose, belonging, and better mental health through movement.

Without running - it might sound cryptic, but it's very unlikely I'd still be alive, and I hope it can help others as much as it's helped me.

So this November, I’m running for every young athlete chasing a dream, every coach giving their time, and every runner who’s found peace in the miles.

If you can, please support the challenge — whether it’s £1 or £10 — it all goes straight back into the running community.

Ps - I don't want any of this money, and it's some scheme to hide funds, even as I type this I'll invite somebody to help spend the money - A - because I don't have time, and B - because I think that's the fairest, most sensible way to delegate.

I also have a newsletter on 262clo.com - It's very likely we will run a poll, or invite people to nominate athletes, coaches, clubs etc. who might benefit and we share their story.

Let’s run for minds, together.
